This pattern creates a lovely stitch that looks great on blankets and washcloths or dishcloths. It is not completely reversible in that your knits become purls but looks good on both sides.
You don't need to know any loom knitting to learn to knit this stitch pattern. Like most of my digital patterns this one includes not just text but also a link for an easy to follow step by step video tutorial. This is easy enough for a true beginner.
